Family time is the best time: the family mountain in Oberstdorf offers very special moments for an adventurous day for the young and the young at heart. The AllgäuCoaster summer luge riding track is perfect for the whole family and as a year-round luge riding adventure it is also a perfect option on a rainy day. Another option in summer is the high ropes course with seven different courses. In winter, perfectly groomed winter hiking trails offer sunny views on the surrounding mountains and the 14km slopes are not only perfect for beginners.
Summertime is family time - wintertime as well!
The Söllereck gondola takes you effortlessly on 1.400m above sealevel, where little and bigger children alike find so many things to experience. And the parents won´t miss out, too:
- Sölli´s winter world with conveyor belts and easy slopes offer the perfect surroundings for your first day on skis.
- The Söllereck gondola takes you to a slope which is only for the daring: with the black slope ´Hexenschuss´, the adrenaline rush is included. The name of the slope, which means lumbago in English, is of course meant with tongue-in-cheek. Until now, all skiers mastered the slope without the named back problems afterwards.
- The SölliBully - a huge wooden snowcat - captures the hearts of young adventurers in an instant and is perfect for a little skiing- or hiking break.
- a wide network of hiking trails lead you in summer and winter down to Oberstdorf, into the Kleinwalsertal or to the Freibergsee lake. An ambitious hike takes you in summer on a ridge trail to Fellhorn and Kanzelwand.
- The Söllereck gondola not only takes you to many adventures, but also to culinary delights: at the ´Berghaus Schönblick´, traditional delicacies from the Allgäu region are wating for you and the ample sun terrace as well as the two playgrounds are the perfect place to be after skiing or hiking. Of course there are free deck chairs as well!
- Söllis marble race entertains little hikers on their way back down to the valley station of the gondola. The wooden marbles are your faithful companion on the way down and make the hike a thrilling adventure with lots of exciting racing duels along the way. Which marble will be first?
- Have you already tried Germanys longest t-bar lift? Not only the Söllereck gondola is a highlight: the ´Höllwies´ t-bar lift is Germanys longest t-bar lift and famous and popular especially among the locals. The two slopes with only natural snow on the left and right side of the lift are a bit more challenging and perfect for the more experienced skier. By the way: these slopes used to be FIS racetracks.
